We're excited to drop v5.4.0, one of our smartest and smoothest updates yet — packed with quality-of-life upgrades, visual polish, and intelligent automation across the board. Here's what’s new:

🧠 Intelligent Filtering & Autocorrect:
Mistyped or malformed parameter names? We silently fix them in the background — no popups, no errors, just smooth sailing.
🔲 Drag-and-Drop Chain Buttons:
Want to reorder your chain steps? Just drag and drop! Bonus: they glow when you hover. 😎
🧹 “Filter Out” Parameters:
Right-click any OSC parameter and instantly suppress it. It’s gone. Persistently filtered and saved.
🎯 Improved Fuzzy Search:
The search bar now matches both OSC paths and visible labels, even with partial or messy input. It’s smart.
🔌 Face Tracking Fix:
Patched an issue where face tracking would occasionally drop updates.
⚡ Intelligent PiShock API Handling:
We’ve overhauled how we talk to PiShock: faster response, better reconnections, and no more random timeouts.
🖼️ New Branding + Toolbar Links:
You’ll notice a fresh aesthetic, new logo buttons in the top-right, and direct links to PiShock, Tikfinity, and more.

🛠️ Fixes & Improvements

🐛 Address Sanitization:
Blocked a sneaky trick where users could break the app by prefixing parameter names with symbols like !.
🚀 Faster Load/Save Times:
Major improvements under the hood to reduce startup time and save lag, especially on larger configs.
📦 Intelligent Logging + Crash Handling:
We now intelligently detect, suppress, and log noisy background errors — and prevent crashes from reaching you.
🔒 Stability Upgrades:
Redis errors and threading bugs? Squashed. The app now holds connection even through unstable conditions.

🧠 Under the Hood

Refactored internal filter system for long-term maintainability.
Updated noisy_parameters.json handling for better recovery and upgrades.
Centralized version tracking via dashboard.py.
